Dr. Alex Obach, Managing Director at the Skretting Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) will be the opening speaker at the \"Practical Developments in Aquafeeds - Feed Advances to Boost Profitability\" conference taking place February 23, 2013 in Nashville, TN, USA.
Dr.Obach has headed up the Skretting ARC, the central R&D unit for Nutreco’s global fish feed company, since 2007. Skretting ARC\'s main objective is to provide research and technical support regarding feed for both fish and shrimp. The research centre is based in Stavanger, Norway, and has further research units in Italy, Spain, China and Japan.
Practical aquafeed advances is the theme of the meeting and in keeping with this, Dr.Obach will discuss trends and advances in feed formulation, towards lowest cost fish production.
